Work and Networking

Wednesday 9-11pm is networking time. I get to meet and connect with friendly business folk, share info and have a laugh using the hashtag #irishbizparty. It’s good business, fun, and you can ask for help and info on any subject. Everyone is welcome and it’s free, right in the comfort of my own home. People are fascinated by my work as a clinical hypnotherapist and I love meeting others outside my work-sphere. There’s a wide age range and regular meet-ups, get togethers and conferences. Sam Kelly, aka @Tweetinggoddess, set up the irishbizparty hashtag that trends every Wednesday night. I was host one week – #Starbiz – and had the pleasure of seeing Fertility in Mind trend on Twitter!

My background is in nursing and midwifery during 35 years. I work with couples who have infertility problems, coaching them through the rollercoaster of IVF treatment, to boost natural fertility, get baby-ready and keep their relationship on track … and sort sexual problems.

IVF doesn’t always work, but I’m there for the long haul, through failed cycles, the grief of miscarriage, the devastation of stillbirth.

The right mindset is vital to success and so is getting rid of mental blocks.

I work at home in Athboy. No two days are the same for me.  I help clients prepare for interviews, starting  IVF or dealing with miscarriage. Clients who are suddenly facing cancer want help getting their head around  chemo and radiotherapy. Ordinary people come along to quit smoking for good, while others are ready to shake off crippling panic attacks, a fear of flying or public speaking. Children love  Mindfulness hypnotherapy and I love to help them go from bedwetting to dry-night sleepovers,  to recover from bullying, gain confidence and freedom.

I love to answer any queries I can from irishbizparty colleagues on Twitter or more often, privately by phone.

For me work and networking go hand in hand. Sharing ideas, being up to date with the latest developments in my field and keeping informed is what Twitter and the #irishbizparty does for me.   #irishbizparty gives me the opportunity to connect with real people and to meet up.
